PacRim Stainless 2012 100 years of stainless steel Reflecting on the past planning for the future

Hyatt Sanctuary Cove, Gold Coast, Qld AUSTRALIA

October 18-19, 2012

PacRim Stainless 2012 celebrates two significant milestones: ASSDA's 20th year representing the Australian stainless industry, and a century since stainless steel was created, patented and produced.

This year's theme - 100 years of stainless steel: reflecting on the past; planning for the future - celebrates our industry's proud achievements while planning its survival through these uncertain economic times.

Our extraordinary line-up of speakers will provide a big-picture view of the stainless steel market both nationally and internationally.

- A global view of the industry and how Australia and other regions are negotiating economic challenges

- How does growth in foreign markets affect and provide opportunities for PacRim companies?

- Success in a high dollar, open market

- Survivability through innovation: new strategies and technologies to survive market challenges, maintain and grow market share

The Hon. Bob Katter MP Federal Member for Kennedy, will address the topic of 'A fair share for a fair go'. Other speakers will explore ways to innovate and expand, possibly beyond our borders, and will hear from fabricators and end-users about survivability and success.
