UN Development Goals

The UN’s 17 Sustainability Goals recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies to build economic growth and address a range of social needs including health, education and job opportunities while tackling climate change and environmental protection. While not always obvious, Stainless steel, in its various grades makes a considerable contribution to many of these goals. Stainless steel is a significant contributor to economic development, providing long-lasting solutions for a sustainable society whilst also being an ideal material for use in medical, food and water applications which are essential for human health.
