Chromium Industry Sustainability Awards 2024 – Congratulations to the winners and participating companies

ICDA would like to share the results of the latest Sustainability Awards with you to inspire you with new ideas.

We would like to extend our congratulations to all the companies that participated in the second edition of the Sustainability Awards, as well as to the winners:

• Vargön Alloys – Yildirim Group for successfully reducing fossil coke consumption by approximately 20%, decreasing HC FeCr production scope 1 CO₂ emissions.
• Assore – Ore and Metal for addressing education and unemployment challenges with the Kitso Ya Boleng initiative.
• Outokumpu for being the first ferrochrome producer to transparently and publicly disclose its environmental performance via the international EPD system in July 2023.
